New York City
New York City’s Department of Small Business Services is specifically designed to help new and existing small businesses. New York’s Mayor Bloomberg understands the importance of small businesses to a city. He said “Great cities are built on great neighborhoods” on announcing the Neighborhood Achievement Awards presented by the New York City Department of Small Business Services (read NY Daily News article). Small businesses are a key ingredient in developing great neighborhoods.

Welcome
Welcome to my website. I was passively interested in politics for many years, but after enduring the 8 year national disaster that was the Bush administration in Washington, I decided it was time to get involved. I was elected as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention from the North Carolina 9th district. After the convention I worked for Harry Taylor's campaign for congress in the NC 9th district.
In 2009 I was a candidate for Charlotte City Council from District 7, and my campaign helped give attention to the small business community of Charlotte.
In March 2010 I was appointed by the Charlotte City Council to a 3 year term on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations Committee and recently reappointed to another 3 year term.
I am currently the 1st Vice Chair of the Mecklenburg County Democratic Party.
Through my involvement I found that one person can make a difference. The problem is that one person is not enough to make all the changes that are needed.
